Site visit
We measure up, talk through what you want, and flag anything that will affect cost early.
Written quote
Itemised, fixed, and free. You see what every stage costs before anyone lifts a tool.
Staged payments
You pay as stages complete, never large sums up front. The schedule is in the quote.
No surprises
If something unexpected turns up in the ground or the walls, you get options and prices before we proceed.
Deposits are capped at 5%. If a builder asks you for half the money before starting, ask them why.

About the firm
Father, son, and the same standards since 1993.
Rob Hartley started the firm in 1993. His son Dan came on as an apprentice in 2011 and now runs most jobs day to day. Between them there's not much of a house they haven't taken apart and put back together better.
The firm stays small on purpose: two of them, plus a bricklayer, a joiner and trusted local trades they've used for years. You get the same faces on site from the first day to the last.
